Andrea Jácome (aka Dre) is a queer herbalist, writer, cultural organizer, educator, and descendant of farmers, weavers & hustlers from the coasts and mountains of so-called Colombia and Ecuador. Inspired by the legacy of her afro-indigenous teachers, she created Cocarosa Apothecary– a plant medicine practice that seeks to commune with our past, present, and futures through the stories and healing that plants have to offer. Current offerings include herbal products, herbal consultations, artisan books, and community workshops.
